Errors

• 401 — missing or invalid API key / OAuth token
• 403 — authenticated but not permitted (scope, entitlement, environment)
• 402 — QUOTA_EXCEEDED (shared REST + MCP)
• 404 — resource not found in your tenancy
• 422 — validation error on request body
• 429 — rate limited; retry with backoff
• 5xx — server error; retry with backoff

Some food operations return machine-readable domain codes (e.g. NORMALIZATION_AMBIGUOUS, ENTITLEMENT_REQUIRED). Prefer these over parsing human messages.
